Our Purpose...Community of Caring Monterey Peninsula is a coalition of the three Peninsula public school districts, institutions of higher education, the seven Peninsula cities, public and nonprofit agencies, businesses, youth, and the community at large dedicated to teaching and supporting youth and families in everyday life.
Community of Caring Monterey Peninsula is...a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for youth and families in our communities. This collaboration pursues initiatives targeted toward achieving progress on priority issues identified by the TELLUS project and community discussion. The Goals of Community of Caring Monterey Peninsula are:
We are pursuing our mission by encouraging schools, businesses, local governments, service providers, religious organizations, and families to embrace and include the Community of Caring values and program elements in their own activities. We are also working to serve as a networking tool for all of those that serve youth and their families on the Monterey Peninsula. By networking, we hope to address gaps and overlaps in programs and services, and pursue collaborative opportunities.
